receive the title of European City of Culture for 2008.
The
economic activity of Liverpool is primarily based on the
pharmaceutical industry, food processing, manufacture of electrical
equipment. . In recent decades, the
tourism sector has grown rapidly and, consequently, the related
services, such as hotel facilities, restaurants, pubs and
attractions for leisure has increased substantially.
